Overall objective of the project

The standard test agent used in the cleaning or agitation test may no longer be commercially available in the mid term and exhibits strong batch-dependent fluctuations in its physical properties. In order to ensure the comparability of test results, only batches with a defined behavior can be used. This must first be verified in a suitability test before a batch can be released for testing. The initial test used to date is time-consuming and has weaknesses in terms of the reproducibility of the results. An alternative method is to be developed to ensure rapid, repeatable testing of suitable materials. Therefore, an alternative test substance must be found that meets the requirements for the cleaning and agitation test and has comparable properties. Furthermore, a new method is to be developed that can be used to continuously measure the concentration of the test substance in the tank, as the current method (evaporation and subsequent weighing) is very time-consuming.
