Overall objective of the project

Development and application of analytical methods to characterize cultivar-specific and quality determining compounds. Description of quantitative differences of major compounds in new cultivars, breeding strains and traditional cultivars to identify cultivar-specific aroma profiles. Monoterpenes are important determinants of wine bouquet. Evaluation of wine type and quality potential can assist market introduction for new varieties.
