Program objectives focus on collecting and evaluating genetic resources for the use within resistance breeding. Plant material of Vitis species (wood, seeds) will be collected, basing upon the Vitis databank regarding sources and in situ collections of various native distribution areas. The material will be evaluated and made available for breeding purposes and isolation of resistance genes within genetic analyses.
