Overall objective of the project

The aim of the project is the further development of biotechnical plant protection by means of attractants and repellents in organic farming with a focus on horticulture. The use of encapsulated fragrances within the framework of a novel push-pull-kill strategy (composed of push and pull and attract and kill) is intended to achieve species-specific control of this invasive plant-sucking bug and thus to establish a new strategy for sustainable plant protection in organic and integrated farming, which will later be transferred to other harmful bug species.
