Hop is a valuable spice and medicinal plant. By combining metabolite profiling, sensory analysis and genotyping of hop population with variation in metabolites we will identity loci with effect on such traits. The genetic information should be used for breeding of hop with increased levels of medicinal compounds or novel aroma hop.The project is associated with the Junior research group (NWG) for medicinal plants.
