In this monitoring of pesticides residues, bee matrices will be analysed over the season in Slovakia. Samples will be collected from approx. 36 different sites in Slovakia and analysed to compare the levels of exposure in different agricultural settings. The intensity of plant protection product use and the exposure of bees to different plant protection products will be investigated to assess a field realistic exposure level to single and combined actives used in plant protection. Thus, samples of bee bread and bee wax will be analysed for residues of PPP using a multi-method to analyse the broad spectrum of PPPs. In this approach, for the first time, a comparison of residues considering bee matrices will be elaborated. This will provide knowledge on field-realistic agricultural practices as well as the local exposure conditions will be obtained over the whole season in Slovakia. Additional knowledge on the current use of pesticides in Slovakia will be evaluated.
