Overall objective of the project

The H2Ot-Spot Manager NRW is used in many ways in the Plant Protection Service NRW in the context of advising farmers. Ensuring the continuous operation of the H2Ot-Spot Manager NRW is therefore essential. The project described here is intended to keep the scientific basis of the calculations and the provision of data up to date and thus ensure the continuous operation of the HSM based on current scientific findings as an advisory tool for farmers. The following services are planned in order to ensure the operation of the Hot Spot Manager NRW on the current data situation with optimised methodological calculation approaches in the long term: 1) Further development and adaptation of the web services underlying the Hot Spot Manager NRW to new ordinances, data structures and current and optimised methodological calculation approaches. - Adaptation to new PfSchAnwVO - adaptations to new, future legal circumstances.2) Continuous updating of the data sets on which the Hot-Spot Manager NRW2) is based: - Excerpts from the BVL authorisation database for PPPs (monthly) - Pesticide Property Database (3 months) - InVeKos formwork geometries with use (annually) - DWD weather data (daily) - Digital soil maps (BK50-NRW, as required) - Surface water geometries (GSK3E, as required) - Digital elevation model (DGM1, as required) - Digital surface model (DOM1, as required) - LIDAR data (as required). 3) Updating and continuous adaptation of the WEB interface - continuous error correction - warning messages for excessive application rates and application determinations specific to the medium - visualisation of current and historical INVEKOS data in order to be able to map crop rotations (application determinations) - integration of GÜS measuring points of the LANUV, for the estimation of active substance findings in catchment areas - integration of supplementary web services from other JKI projects, e.g. beneficial insect risk and determination of the top of slope. - Further expansion of the user interface for improved user-friendliness - Development of an export of legally compliant application maps for field sprayers - Interface to arable land use maps, for user-friendly, simplified uploading of data from the field sprayer database. 4) Updating and ongoing adjustments of the underlying WEB services - continuous troubleshooting - optimisation of calculation time - provision of additional WEB services for economic evaluation, GHG emissions and resistance management of cropping systems. 5) Ensuring the continuous availability of the WEB interface. 6) Organisation of video conferences and project meetings for exchange between extension practice and programme developer.
