Overall objective of the project

Analytical protocols for targeted quantification of selected value-added metabolites on basis of liquid chromatography will be developed within this project. These protocols will be applied to support breeding projects. Work of this project comprises adaption and optimization of known liquid chromatography-based methods described in the literature (HPLC/DAD, HPLC/ELSD, HPLC/FLR) and, if necessary, development of new methods as well as their validation. The following compound classes will be quantitatively analyzed in this project: mono- und disaccharides, fructooligosaccharides, amino acids, glucosinolates, flavonoids (flavones, flavonols, flavanols, anthocyanins), C17-polyacetylenes, carotenoids, naphthodianthrones.
