Overall objective of the project

The NaLamKI project is creating a cloud-based SaaS (Software as a Service) platform with open interfaces for providers from the upstream and downstream sectors of agriculture, industry and for service providers of special applications in crop production. By aggregating sensor and machine data obtained by means of remote sensing (satellites, drones), soil sensors, robotics, manual data collection and inventory data, a valuable data pool is created from which agricultural processes such as irrigation, fertilization and pest control can be optimized using modern AI methods. NaLamKI creates the possibility of a high-dimensional evaluation and fusion of all aggregated data. Through GAIA-X compliant services, the platform will operate interoperably between different centralized and decentralized cloud providers and users, while always ensuring data sovereignty for all economic actors along the agricultural value chain. In the MussIF sub-project, the JKI is focusing on the provision of ready-to-analyze satellite image data and data products for monitoring the development and condition of agricultural crops using radar and optical remote sensing systems at all scale levels and using innovative AI methods.
