Clubroot, caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae, is a major crop rotation disease in agriculture. The cultivation of genetically resistant varieties is widely recognized as the most cost-effective management strategy. Previous studies have highlighted significant variation in virulence among P. brassicae isolates, both across and within field populations in Germany, underscoring a concerning trend of resistance breakdown. This study evaluates a selection of P. brassicae pathotypes on diverse Brassica napus genotypes to identify reliable sources of resistance.
