Overall objective of the project

Investigations on effects of plant protection products and methods on the population density and dynamics of relevant beneficial arthropods in fruit crops and viticulture (e.g. predatory mites, parasitoid wasps, aphid and scale antagonists), including the development of test methods in a sequential scheme (laboratory, semi-field, field); development of methods to examine the efficacy of pheromones in the field; development of a standardized system to test insecticides to control grape berry moths using artificial inoculation with eggs; improvement of the method for testing side effects of plant protection products on predatory mites.
