Scientific staff member in the research project "ROBUSTGemuese – Resilience in organic vegetable production – Development and testing of strategies and innovations through practice-based research"

• Coordination of a leafhopper monitoring programme in North Rhine-Westphalia, as well as research on host-finding behaviour and the influence of infection timing.
• Research on the influence of climatic conditions (e.g. temperature) on the population ecology of the marsh planthopper (Hyalesthes obsoletus) in various vegetable crops.
• Establishment and optimisation of molecular biological methods for the detection of various pathogens in plant samples and insects.
• Conducting phytopathological monitoring, with a focus on microbial pest organisms, in various arable and vegetable crops.
