Tasks

  • Information and data management of notifications of interceptions and outbreaks in the framework of the European early warning system
  • Participation in the development of plant health regulations and procedures
  • Information of the plant protection services about plant health measures
  • Information about import of plants and plant products
  • Support for TRACES („TRAde Control and Expert System“) at the federal level („contact point plant health“)
  • Participation in audits of plant protection services of the Laender

  • Participation in the ad hoc Federal and Laender authorities team for auditing of the plant protection services of the Länder
  • Editorial working group at Federal and Laender level fort he „Multiannual National Control Plan (MNCP)“: plant health representative
  • Coordination of Working Groups with the plant protection services of the Länder for the implementation of the new EU regulations (import procedures of goods not subject to control, risk goods list for packing wood, exemptions for research and breeding purposes)
  • Participation in the EU Expert Working Group for notification of outbreaks (EUROPHYT outbreaks)
  • Participation in the EU Expert Working Group TRACES and the national Working Group TRACES in plant health
