- Participation in the representation of the plant health/plant quarantine section, in particular in EU committees
- Contribution to the implementation of phytosanitary regulations and measures in Germany
- Data management of documents transmitted via the Commission's information system (CIRCABC)
- Information and collaboration with plant protection services about plant health measures
- Participation in the field of invasive alien plant species
- Preparation of risk analyses in regard to invasive alien plant species
- Participation in national and international committees
- Technical advice to the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture on plant health issues and invasive alien plant species
