Getting to the JKI in Braunschweig

by car

  • via motorway A 2 (Berlin - Hanover):
    Take exit Braunschweig-Ost.
    Follow B248 to Braunschweig  for about 5 km.
    At the intersection Berliner Str. and Messeweg (JKI street sign posted here) turn left onto
    Messeweg.
    Road works! Please note that from September 2016 to approx. April 2017 the vehicle access to the JKI via Berliner Berliner Straße is closed due to roadworks in Messeweg. 
  • via motorway A 39 (Salzgitter - Wolfsburg/Helmstedt):
    Take exit Sickte,
    head towards B 1 and leave the second roundabout towards B1/Riddagshausen.
    Cross the B1 towards Riddagshausen where you should turn right onto  Messeweg (immediately after the lakes).
    After 500 m, you will arrive at the JKI, which is situated on the left side of the road.
    Road works! Please note that from May to November 2017, the vehicle access to the JKI via   Ebertallee/Riddagshausen will be closed due to roadworks in Messeweg. 

by train

  • Arriving at Braunschweig Main Station (Hauptbahnhof, ICE-station), take bus 419 (heading Ost-Ring – West-Ring), bus 411 (heading for Lamme/Kanzlerfeld) or bus 436 (heading Kralenriede-Flughafen) and get off at bus stop Kastanienallee;
  • here change to bus 413* towards Querum/Bevenrode and get off at bus stop “Julius-Kühn-Institut”.
