3rd International Workshop on Interactions between crop plants and human pathogens

59 experts from 21 countries worldwide joined the Berlin-workshop held March 12 and 13, and presented the current state of art on this topical subject. Chairs of two out of four sessions has been experts from the Julius Kühn Institute (JKI): Prof. Dr. Kornelia Smalla (Session: Mobile elements: antibiotics resistance, epigenetics, phages, mechanisms of transmission) and Dr. Adam Schikora (Session: Internalization of human pathogens in plant tissues).

The workshop has been held within the framework of the COST-Action CA16110 “Control of Human Pathogenic Micro-organisms in Plant Production Systems” (HUPLANTcontrol) and organized together with a national working group at the Humboldt University Berlin.
