Scientific Collaboration in the Demonstration Project “Monitoring Nitrogen Emissions in Crop Production – MoNi2”

• Development of a national indicator system for the early detection of nitrate loads from agriculture into groundwater
• Linking nitrogen balance surpluses with Nmin concentrations in the root zone and in depth profiles using modeling with the Agricultural Production System Simulator (APSIM)
• Analysis and evaluation of the impacts of management practices and site conditions on nitrate leaching from agricultural land
