Tasks

• Scientific support for humus-building measures within the Model and Demonstration Projects (MuD) on soil organic matter enhancement in fruit and vegetable production, as well as viticulture and hop cultivation; www.humusallianz.de
• Development and assessment of humus-building measures in specialty crops with regard to their climate-mitigation potential, using field- and farm-specific greenhouse-gas accounting.
• Provision of field- and farm-specific climate-balance results to the model and demonstration farms, and transfer of findings through field days, workshops, and other knowledge-exchange formats.
