- Information and data management of notifications of interceptions and outbreaks in the framework of the European early warning system
- Information on phytosanitary import regulations, including exemptions for experimental, research and breeding purposes
- Preparation of reports as part of reporting obligations at EU level
- Responsibility for notifications in the area of plant health via iRASFF (“Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed”)

- Participation in the Alert and Cooperation Network (ACN for iRASFF) for plant health
- Participation in the EU expert working group TRACES and the national working group TRACES in plant health
