Project: Fine mapping of resistance to Asparagus Virus 1 (AV1) in introgression lines of garden asparagus, based on interspecific hybrids of A. officinalis x A. prostratus and A. officinalis x A. amarus.

• Crosses and marker-assisted selection of recombinant genotypes to reduce introgression segments
• Development and validation of KASP markers derived from SNPs of WGS datasets
• Infection experiments with the aphid Myzus persicae as vector and detection of infection by ELISA
• Genetic fine mapping of resistance loci via marker-trait association
