The application of invertebrate natural enemies of plant pests is an indispensable method in integrated pest management. It has been helping to reduce the use of pesticides for decades. In our publication, we list the parasitoids, predatory mites, beetles, bugs and other predators, and entomopathogenic nematodes that are currently commercially available and used in Germany. We also provide recommendations for a future authorization procedure for such beneficial invertebrates under plant protection legislation.
