• Research Associate in the group Bacteriology/Microbial Ecology (AG Babin)
• Project: Overcoming Replant Disease by an Integrated Approach – Contribution of the soil microbiome to Replant Disease (ARD – Apple Replant Disease)
• Quantification of abundance of microbial populations (e.g. bacteria, oomycetes)
• Localization of so-called “responders” at the plant-root by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)
• Development of soil-management strategies for an increased soil microbial diversity
• Project: Elaboration of ambitious standards for the medium-term continuation of land-based usage of sewage sludge originating from sewage treatment plants of small size
• Antibiotic resistance ecology: Isolation, characterization and quantification of antibiotic resistance genes and mobile genetic elements from environmental samples
