• Evaluation of potato and cereal varieties for resistance to biotrophic fungal diseases within the scope of the official variety testing
• Harmonisation of the official resistance testing to potato wart disease within the EU
• Virulence monitoring of fungal pathogen populations in cereal and potato cropping
• Identification of mildew and rust resistance genes in cereal varieties and breeding material
• Development of concepts for minimizing fungal pathogens in integrated and ecological farming
