Assignments and Research Activities
Research Associate on a cooperation project between the Julius Kühn-Institut, Institute for Biological Control and the Laimburg Research Centre (South Tyrol). The project aim is the determination of the genetic factors regulating the diapause termination in the codling moth (Cydia pomonella)
- Crossing of phenotypically different codling moth strains
- Phenotypical evaluation of the diapause termination
- Short and Long Read Sequencing and bioinformatic analysis of codling moth genomes
- Development of a rapid test for determining the genetic composition of local codling moth populations based on genetic markers regulating the diapause
