Assignments and Research Activities

Research associate in the research group "Phytopathology" with support from a DAAD research grant for the project “Insights into the tomato plant microbiome and its role in plant health.”

• Exploring the microbiome within the rhizosphere, endosphere, and phyllosphere of the tomato plant through a metagenomic approach to unravel fungal and bacterial disease complexes.
• Characterization of potential microbial biocontrol agents and screening for activity against known pathogens of tomato through antimicrobial bioassays.
• Development and evaluation of the efficacy of a consortium of microbial antagonists in managing the detrimental pathogens of tomato.
