• Evaluation of the impact of plant protection products on honey bees and other commercially relevant pollinators
• Method development for the risk assessment of bees after the use of plant protection products, especially for bumble bees and other wild bee species (solitary bees)
• Implementation of laboratory, semi-field and field studies to investigate the effects of plant protection products on honey bees, bumble bees and other wild bee species (solitary bees)
• Participation in projects on the biodiversity of wild bees and ecological enhancement measures focused on wild bees and honeybees in urban and agricultural landscapes

• Member of the „International Commission for Plant-Pollinator Relationships (ICP-PR)“
• co-Chair of the “non-Apis” working group of the ICP-PR
