  • Coordinator of the project “Colonization of plants by Escherichia coli and Salmonella enterica” plantinfect (2819HS002 BLE): investigation of the persistence of Salmonella and E. coli in soil and the potential colonization of lettuce; one focus is the molecular characterization of the plant response related to the colonization by Salmonella and the elucidation of factors that can influence the survival of Salmonella in soil and the reaction of the plant and therefore play a role for the colonization of lettuce by human pathogens.
