Current research Activities:
- Identification of phenotypic plasticity of plant-insect interactions and its relation to agro-ecosystems
- Screening of natural resistance in brassicaceaous plant species and genotypes against the pollen beetle
- Identification of volatile and non-volatile plant compounds as insect-resistance marker
- Conducting and coordination of the third funded project “Resistance of oil seed rape against the pollen beetle Meligethes aeneus mediated chemical ecology (CHEMOEKORAPS)“ (Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe, BLE)
Scientific CV:
- Since 2016: PostDoc and project coordinator (CHEMOEKORAPS) at Freie Universität Berlin and guest scientist at Julius-Kühn Institute
- 2014-2016: PostDoc and project leader (Container fumigation) at the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment, investigation of changes of plant products and consumer products after treatment with fumigants
- 2009-2015: PhD-student (Dr. rer nat) at Freie Universität Berlin, investigation of chemical ecology of willows and elms in interaction with its specialised leaf beetles, supported by the PhD Scholarships of the German Federal Environmental Foundation
