Assignments and Research Activities:

• Organisation of the test laboratories for institute OW in the framework of the EU legislation for the national reference laboratory for pests on plants (PflSchadORZV)
• Scientific assistant in the field of "molecular diagnostics"
• Adaptation and further development of diverse PCR-based diagnostic tools for the detection of phytopathogenic bacteria and viruses
• Assistance with high-throughput sequencing for the detection and characterisation of microorganisms and characterisation of pathogen-plant host-interactions
• Molecular diagnostics and characterisation of phytoplasmas in plants and insects
• Phytoplasmas in apple rootstocks: Open land studies in terms of resistance, yield, growth and colonisation behaviour
• Participation in quality management
