Function and field of research:
- Research assistant in the working group “Zoology and Integrated Plant Protection in Viticulture”
- Research project: “EcoGuard – Rainproof release systems for the protection of grapevines against peronospora and spotted wing drosophila”; in cooperation with RWTH Aachen and DWI (WG Conrath, WG Pich and WG Schwaneberg)
- Validation (effectiveness and application) of the 'GreenGel technology' to control the spotted wing drosophila (Drosophila suzukii) in (organic) viticulture using laboratory, semi-field and field studies
- Determination of the necessary release rate of spinosad encapsulated in microgels and the necessary degree of wetting of the berries, which is increased by the surface-specific anchor peptides used in GreenGel technology in comparison to formulations already approved
- Development of a test procedure for evaluating the effectiveness of insecticides for the vertical crop grapevine
