Scopes and research activities:
- Head of working unit „mycology in viticulture“
- Investigations in biology, characterisation, epidemiology and diagnosis, with special emphasis on wood diseases in traditional and organic viticulture; development and improvement of control measures
- Fungal diseases and their impact on grafting and plant material
- Studies on possible reduction and replacement of copper containing compounds in organic viticulture
- Vineyard management with special emphasis on pruning systems and its impact on fungal ecosystems
- Evaluation of plant protection products as part of the registration procedure
