Research and Assignments:

• Scientific work on the project "Genetic Reserves for Wild Celery Species (Apium and Helosciadium) as Part of a Network of Genetic Reserves in Germany" (GE-Sell) 
• Work in the coordination unit of the Wild Celery Network: supporting the network partners; expanding the network; developing procedures for monitoring; collecting data on the maintenance and protection of genetic reserves and wild celery occurrences
• Geobotanical, ecological, demographic and population genetic research of crop wild relatives
• Development of concepts for the combined ex-situ and in-situ conservation of crop wild relatives
