The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) founded the Julius Kühn Institute in 2008 in order to concentrate all its crop plant capabilities in one facility. So in 2018 we celebrate our quite young 10th anniversary. But in fact, our agricultural research expertise stretches back 120 years. The Institute’s cradle stood in Berlin, in the year 1898. Open day at headquarter Quedlinburg
We open our gate to show our research results, greenhouse and field trials to the wide public. Special event at our anniversary: high school students dealt with 10 different JKI-research subjects and discussed with our experts. They will exhibit their results and are eager to discuss with a wide audience (in partnership with the GuthsMuths-Gymnasium Quedlinburg) Detailed information follow soon.
