Assignments and Research Activities:
- Research associate in the BMEL funded project AuDiSens – Development of automated techniques for early field diagnosis of downy mildew, Plasmopara viticola, for adapted plant protection in organic viticulture
- Establishment of sensor based methods for stress detection (biotic and abiotic)
- Improvement of a sensor system for hyperspectral and RGB imaging in the lab and field
- Establishment of methods for pre-symptomatic detection of downy mildew infections
- Image analysis and evaluation
- Acquisition of reference data: visual screening, microscopy and chromatography (HPLC-MS)
- Interdisciplinary cooperation in the field of:
- Modelling of sensor data
- Image analysis algorithms
