Tasks
- Engaged in a project entitled "Greenhouse Gas Reduction through Innovative Breeding Advances in Alternative Plant Protein Sources (TRIP)," Funded by Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL).
- Core objective of this research is to mitigating greenhouse gas emissions by harnessing alternative plant protein sources and exploring milk substitutes.
- Establishment of plant tissue culture and genetic engineering platforms for Oats (Avena spp) and Lupins (Lupinus spp).
- Develop climate-resilient and nutrient-enhanced Lupins and Oats.
- Identify traits that can boost the marketability and desirability of milk alternatives.
- Discover and analyze candidate genes suitable for application in New Molecular Techniques.
- Pioneering the establishment of biotechnologies for various other plant species.
