• Plant-microbe interaction in relation to climate change (effects of growth-promoting microorganisms on growth and development of plants grown under stress conditions)
• Microbial ecology of the rhizosphere and soil (effects of soil texture, plant species/genotype and inoculants)
• Replanting problems in Rosaceae (effects of different soil treatments such as heat, soil fumigant Basamid® granules, biofumigation with Brassicaceae and catch crop Tagetes on plant growth and the soil microbiome)
• Analysis of soil properties and micro- and macro-nutrients in plants
• In vitro culture and histological examination of plant roots
• Light and confocal laser scanning microscopy
